Front Row Motorsports win with Halo By Orthene

Front Row Motorsports win with Halo By Orthene

Press Release –

Front Row Motorsports’ entry in the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series is another of the success stories of Halo P1 – with the team’s adoption of the specialist motorsports brake fluid a key factor behind their victories in 2024.

“Racing in the truck series, we have very short races and being aggressive on restarts is key to retaining track position and securing a good finish” says Dylan Cappello, Crew Chief for the winning #38 of Layne Riggs.

“In the past, our drivers have been limited on braking force as well as managing a long pedal while battling for position in late stages of the race. We began looking for alternatives and Halo By Orthene is where we landed.”

Developed in-house by Halo By Orthene, a division of Orthene, the world’s largest specialist producer of brake fluid, Halo P1 is a dedicated motorsport brake fluid and the most advanced on the market. It offers the highest typical dry boiling point of 341°C (646°F) and unmatched incompressibility in the most extreme circumstances for unrivalled consistency of pedal feel and performance.

“We have run the fluid at numerous short tracks and road courses on our schedule with no issues of a long pedal or loss of braking power” Cappello continued. “This has given our driver confidence to attack each race in its entirety and played a large part in our first win of 2024 at Milwaukee Mile. We look forward to many more stops in victory lane with Halo By Orthene in the truck!”

Indeed at the very next race, Riggs took a second victory of the season, this time at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“I don’t even know how to describe it,” said an emotional Riggs, who took his first win of 2024 on only his 23rd start in the series. “It’s awesome! Oh, my gosh, we’ve just learned so much with the trucks.”

Halo P1 was launched in January 2024, but for the past two years the Halo By Orthene team has been trackside with race teams and performance OEMs to understand their challenges and needs. In its first season, it has already been adopted by teams on both sides of the Atlantic, and alongside Front Row Motorsports it has been used to race-winning effect in machines competing in series from LMP2 to the British Touring Car Championship, British Superbike, NASCAR and more.
